DAVAO CITY – In adherent to the call, the City Social Services & Development Office endeavors to provide our 3-4 years old children in Day Care Centers the opportunity to discover and enhance their talents and potentials of the children by celebrating Children’s Month. It is one strategy that children in the day care centers and home-based ECCD Program will be honed to perform in front of other people with confidence while developing their physical, emotional, mental and social well being . It is also an avenue to preserving Davaoeños culture and pride. There are two categories namely, Creative Story Telling and Ethnic Dance competition.
The City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO) thru the Preschoolers and Children’s Concerns Division (PSCCD) conducted the 2016 Children’s Month Celebration with the theme, “ISULONG: Kalidad na Edukasyon para sa Lahat ng Bata”.
The children’s month celebration was conducted in two levels: District Level and City Level
District Level – The competition was simultaneously conducted last November 18, 2016 wherein 600 ECCD Service Providers attended and participated the activity with 15,000 talented and potential children participated in the activity. This was supported by Parents and Barangay Officials.
Citywide Level activity will be on November 28, 2016 at NCCC Mall Activity Center which is sponsored by NCCC Mall Davao. It will showcase the different talents of children.
